Georgina BouzovaGeorgina was born to a Czech father and an English mother in Kingston upon Thames, the family moved to Manchester when she was five.

Although a natural performer from an early age, Georgina chose to study law. After four years at Kings College, then at the prestigious Sorbonne in Paris, she completed her training and qualified as a barrister at the Inns of Court in London before deciding that a career as a lawyer was not for her.

Although everyone thought she was crazy, Georgina was determined to follow her first love – acting.  She started out in fringe theatre productions and TV programmes such as Crossroads, Murder in Suburbia, Doctors and Mile High which eventually led to Casualty and the role of staff nurse Ellen Zitek for which she is best known. The gritty storylines in such a high profile drama led to a National Television Award nomination for Best Actress in 2006 and a BAFTA win in 2007.

Whilst a talented actress, Georgina also speaks five languages, Czech, French, German, Dutch and Italian and can hold her own at kick-boxing, ice skating, roller blading and horse riding among other action sports. Georgie also writes screenplays and is in the process of finishing her first novel.

At the end of last year, Georgina upped the glamour stakes and entered BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing partnering James Jordan. Although she did not make it to the final, as well as getting super fit she gained some valuable experience in how to bring a little more dancing confidence to future roles.

An avid yoga fan, last year, Georgie also launched her own eco-friendly yoga clothing range Barefoot Blondie www.barefootblondie.com

Georgie is currently playing the lead role of “Mollie” in “The Mousetrap” in London’s West End.
